Ever wonder how to break out of the boring past events rehearsal in your letters? Well, today I’m going to introduce a non-earth-shattering tip to liven up your letters’s atmosphere.
Prepare to be underwhelmed: write down where you are and what is happening around you at the very moment you are writing. You may not think such scrabble will sound interesting to the recipient, but trust me, it creates a unique feel and draws the reader into the moment with you.
It’s even more interesting if you are sitting in an unconventional location to write the letter. Hey, you could use this to your advantage when you are stumped as to what to write about.
Just go sit somewhere with lots of activity and write down what you see, feel, hear, and think about the whole situation. If you are artistically inclined you could even sketch the scene before you. As you write you’ll probably begin to remember a bit of news here and there to relate. To the recipient, the end result will be more amusing and informative than you know.
Ok, tip over. No stay upright, I just meant the letter writing tip was over. Good thing there are no sheep on this email list. That would be baaad.
